About

During the day, Keith Richie is just a mild mannered software developer. At night, he juggles family and work to find time to squeeze in a few moments to pursue his passion with music and cinema arts.

Keith first became obsessed with electronic music in the early 80′s by being exposed to the fascinating music of John Carpenter, and latter Tangerine Dream which are two of his biggest influences. Additional major influences include Enya, Deep Forest, Kraftwerk, Vangelis, and Christopher Franke. Most of his work reflects those major influences.

Keith is also the president of indieOpolis, his publishing entity formed to produce his music and video projects.

Keith is currently working on the additional releases for his Sidetracks series of music, as well as his next Original “N”otion Picture ™ soundtrack.

The Sidetracks series is a collection of music originally created by Keith Richie for other major projects. As those projects were being developed, the songs were not included in the final track list of the release. These songs are then bundled together in the form of a Sidetracks release.

His Original “N”otion Picture ™ soundtracks are musical paintings which represent mental images, ideas and conceptions for future short film work.

Along with his solo work, Keith Richie also collaborates with other industry professionals via music composition, video editing and audio enhancing. Keith is currently working with multi-platinum soundtrack recording artist Mark Akin (http://www.mark-akin.com ) to produce “Sidetracks – Volume 5 – The Espresso Roast Blends”.

Keith Richie and Mark Akin worked together to produce Mark Akin’s first solo release, AlienCarChase, under the indieOpolis entity.

    Hi Keith,

I was really excited to find your SPIEFolder tool. I am running the tool from a command prompt on my pc and I get the followng error:

    SPIEFolder-2.0>SPIEFolder.exe -o export -url “http://hec_tfs_2/sites/TSS/Process MDL/Defined Process Guide/TSS-GDE-0032_Defined_Process_Guide.doc” -directory C:\temp

Could not load file or assembly ‘Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

It looks like I am missing a dependency. Could you tell me what I need to install.

    Thanks,
    -Nancy Bufkin

Are you running it on a SharePoint 2010 server? Also Nancy, you’re trying to point the URL specifically to a document, you need to change that to a list/folder.
Also, after a couple of days, I’m going to remove this thread from my About page. It would be best to have this thread on my tools page, not the About page.

    Thanks.

    Hello Richie,

Your website and work is awesome and very much appreciated.

I’m working on a project where I could really use the source code to SPIEFolder for SharePoint 2010. I could not find any info about purchasing or donating on your website. Is there any way we could work something out?

    Thanks

      Hey Andrew,

Source control is not provided for SPIEFolder. Is there a specific feature or need you have?

I can’t think of any additional features that I need but I’ll be sure to let you know.

We’ve upgraded our environment to SP 2010 and so I was hoping you would have some source code available for SPIEFolder 2.0

    Thanks
