I was searching my my docs folder tonight for something and ran across this letter my daughter wrote back in December of 2002.
I have no idea if this was part of a homework assignment, or just a desperate plea, but thought it was just hilarious either way.
Here’s the letter:

Dear Ms. [Managers name at the time]:
I love Starbucks it is the only brand of coffee I will drink. It helps me in the morning when I have to get up early, or when I have to stay up late writing English papers.
If you would please send me a gift card to help me with those long nights; it would be greatly appreciated
