Synopsis
To ancient explorers, “ultima Thule” (Latin “farthermost Thule”) acquired a metaphorical meaning of any distant place located beyond the “borders of the known world”.
It was also recently applied as the nickname for (486958) 2014 MU69, which is a trans-Neptunian object located in the Kuiper belt.
Discovered on June 26, 2014 by astronomer Marc Buie using the Hubble Space Telescope, and high resolution images taken from the New Horizons space probe were made on January 1, 2019.
This single represents new material being prepared for my Infinity project to enhance and extend The Maestoso Interstellar Suite.
